Draft – please have this checked (e.g. by your data protection adviser) before going live. It describes the site as built: no cookies, no tracking, fonts and videos hosted on our own server. If you add analytics, advertising pixels or embedded services later, this policy and a cookie banner must be updated first.

2. Overview
We process personal data only as far as necessary to run this website and to answer your requests. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tracking. Fonts, images and videos are delivered from our own server; no data is sent to Google Fonts, YouTube or similar services when you visit this page.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical information such as IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect misuse. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Log files are deleted after [7] days unless needed to investigate a security incident.
4. Request form and email
If you send us a request via the form or by email, we process the details you provide (name, email address, preferred journey, number of guests and your message) to answer your request and, if you wish, to prepare a booking. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent via the checkbox). The data is sent to us by email and stored in our mailbox. We delete requests that do not lead to a booking after [12] months at the latest; booking data is kept as long as required by commercial and tax law.
If you book a journey, we share the data necessary for your trip (e.g. names, dietary requirements) with our local partner Experience Faroe Islands and the accommodation and service providers on the Faroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR).
5. Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Simply write to glimt@saculagency.com.
